Carpe Diem was born after coming across the quote reading one day (*inserts nerd emoji*) This then sparked an idea of putting together the things we have passion for:- motivating each other, doing stuff we love and wearing the same t shirts all the time (inside joke with the founders). We feel we try to live our life via the Carpe Diem

John McAlister
Season 1 – Episode 2
John Wooden is one of the most decorated College basketball coaches of all time.
He won 10 NCAA championships in 12 years, his UCLA Bruins programme recorded numerous winning streaks that a coach and fan could only ever dream of, 88, 47 and 41 games in a row! But there’s much more to his story than trophies and winning streaks, my guest John McAlister and I talk openly,
fuelled by copious amounts of tea, about our personal takeaway messages from the work of such an inspirational character.

Joe Smith
Season 1 – Episode 3
Joe grew up in an underserved community in North West London in the 1990’s and had to learn quickly to adapt and become creative in his way of thinking, developing as a young man both on and off the football field.
Creativity was not something that was necessarily in his DNA. Joe’s surroundings demanded that he became efficient in solving problems consistently, and eventually become a proponent of diverse thinking.
With the unconditional support from his family, Joe was supported in his views that mistakes are part of the learning process, helping you grow and flourish. Currently, Joe is the Technical Director of Soccer Chance Academy based in Portland Oregon, working to foster an environment of curiosity and creativity whilst affording young players the platform to become whoever they so wish. Joe believes that within the right environment, young people are capable of absolutely anything.

Matt Thomas
Season 1 – Episode 4
Matt has extensive experience within Soccer and an excellent knowledge of the soccer landscape in Canada. He has previously worked with professional clubs in Europe and since landing in Canada, has worked for the British Columbia, Manitoba, and Alberta Provincial Associations. Matt is a Canada Soccer Master Coach Developer, has his UEFA A, USSF A and is currently completing his Canada Soccer A License. He also has his Director of Coaching and National Youth Licence from the US Soccer Federation.

Harry Strutt
Season 1 – Episode 5
Harry Strutt is an ex MMA British Title holder, who’s passion and motivation to push the boundaries has seen him transition from the octagon to the open road. After retiring from fighting Harry decided that he needed something to fill the void, not one to rest on his laurels, Harry committed to running, initially half marathons, progressing to full marathon distance leading to his current quest as an ultra runner.

Gary Wallace
Season 1 – Episode 6
Founder of CORE NI, Gary Wallace has over 17 years’ experience of coaching children from 4 years old to youth international level.
He started CORE NI because he is passionate about promoting healthy active lifestyles and sporting performance for people of all ages and abilities. Steven Benidict
Season 1 – Episode 8
Although multi-talented, Benedict’s main current occupations are Sprinting, Human Optimisation and always inspiring value in others’ lives. He’s an Olympic Qualifier and winner of prestigious invitationals nationwide. When not training himself or assisting others in reaching their potential, he’s a popular speaker on topics like Men’s Leadership, Social Emotional Learning and Human Performance and has been featured in periodicals like ESPN Magazine, Men’s Fitness and Men’s Health.
“Not everybody can run fast,” Benedict says, “But everybody has their own gifts and inherent journey in them and actualising those gifts and that journey is the hallmark of a truly successful life.”
Benedict’s path to success is all the more remarkable given his early abusive childhood, a variety of unpredictable living conditions and eventually, the Foster Care System, which precipitously ended when his adopted parents both died prematurely.
Finding a maturity in him far beyond his years, Benedict survived this difficult period and used it as motivation for future achievement and success which is reflected in “Good Morning SuperStar: Where Intentions Set the Tone but Habits Align You to Shine.”
“If I’m defined by anything,” Benedict says, “it’s resilience and proactively overcoming adversity. Our past only defines and limits us if we let it.”

K.C. Moultrie
Season 2 – Episode 1
K.C. Moultrie resides in the United States in Portland Oregon. He has competed his way to success in several areas in life. Some of those include: 4 year scholarship college basketball player (3 time all conference performer); was the youngest employee in the history of Takeda Pharmaceuticals promoted to management at the age of 27; him and his wife now run/own a multi-million dollar essential oil business; he and his brother run a consulting business focused on mindset training; he has 3 wonderful children that are all extremely promising and successful athletes like their parents including his oldest Olivia who 2 years ago at the 13 became the youngest professional female soccer player in the history of the United States. She currently plays for the Portland Thorns in NWSL. His younger 2 daughters Gabi and Bella are the #1 ranked players in their age group in the Pacific Northwest, Gabi in basketball and Bella in soccer. K.C. approaches every day with a competitive mindset and enthusiasm that allows him to conquer whatever he sets his mind to and find consistent success in multiple areas of life.

Kaig Lightner
Season 2 – Episode 2
Kaig is a queer, transgender man with a USSF National ‘C’ Level coaching license and a Masters in Social Work degree. He’s been coaching since 1995 and in 2013 he took his love of coaching and working with underserved communities and created Portland Community FC – a nonprofit club that provides high quality, affordable soccer to low-income, immigrant and refugee youth. Kaig also founded Quantum Gender, which provides professional training and consultation to increase inclusion for people of all genders in the workplace and sports industry. He has also been an adjunct professor in the School of Social Work at Portland State University since 2016. When Kaig isn’t running two businesses or teaching you can find him out on the soccer field or spending time with his partner, their pitbull Charlie and their two kittens, Leo and Stevie.

Gareth Fox
Season 2 – Episode 3

Darran Wallace

I’m Chrissy born and bred in Coleriane live in Portstewart for 5 year and now live in Belfast 4 years married in 2019 best day of my life. Robert Haire

Robbie is a 91 year signing sensation! Having been featured on UTV, BBC, BBC Radio Ulster, RTE and many more media outlets, Robbie appeared on The Think Curiously Podcast to continue to spread his story. Living through the Belfast Blitz of World War 2, finding love and starting a family, to amount of enlightenment and a chance encounter that changed his life. In his 91 years, there’s not much that Robbie hasn’t experienced. Though it would be the untimely death of his beloved wife that would inspire Robbie to do something to raise money for the charity which helped his family at their time of need. Not To rest on his laurels, Robbie is planning his second album and in the early stages of preparing to write his autobiography.
